His surname remains unknown to others, for he ditched it due to his shame. He since then replaced it with 'von Mondstadt' which means 'of Mondstadt'.• He was a Geo Vision holder, and he received it during his stay in Mondstadt.• Despite being the Captain of the Outrider Division, he mainly wielded a sword.• He maaaaaay or may not be the first lover of Granny Ruoxin.• He died almost six years ago though. Cause of death remains unknown, but it's believed that he was ambushed by monsters.• All of this is subject to change, especially once we learn more of Amber and her family.— Amber has no memories about her parents. All she knows is that she inherited her headband from her mother, that the original Baron Bunny was sewn by her father, and that they're both members of the Adventurer's Guild. She only knows that information because her grandfather told her about it.— She has a second cousin back in Liyue, and that's Beidou! However, neither of them know that they're related.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -APPEARANCE— She stands at around 5'6 ½" or 169 cm (headband and heels not counted). She has a lean, slightly muscular build with her muscles being prominent on her arms, back, and core.— She has two prominent canine teeth, but her left fang is the more prominent/obvious one between the two.— Amber has burn scars on both of her palms, therefore she lacks palm folds or creases. She covers them with her gloves.— She has a couple of battle scars all around her body. They quickly fade due to her consumption of potions, but she'd always have new scars since she gets into a lot of fights. The only scar that hasn't faded is a small slice on her right cheek.— Out of her two in-game outfits, she mostly wears 5-Star Outrider (the original default outfit). The other one, 100% Outrider, is only reserved for special occasions such as knighting ceremonies.— After the events of Flames That Arose From Frost, Amber has lost her left eye and now covers it with a black eyepatch. She sometimes wears a variation that has a red bunny sewn on it; which was gifted to her by Hu Tao.• After the events of First Flight of the Dragon-Winged Knight, she also started to wear a variation that has Dvalin's figure sewn on it; it was gifted to her by Mona.— Both of her ears have black hanging earrings that hold a red gem. The gems are said to be pieces of Agnidus Agate, which boosts Amber's Pyro affinity. They were gifted to her by Fischl.— Her belt has little pockets to carry smaller bottles (read: potions). Usually the ones she commonly drinks are placed in there, while the rest are placed inside the bigger pouch on her right.— Amber currently possesses two artifacts. The first one is a Flower of Life (Viridescent Vernerer) which was gifted to her by Sucrose. It's currently hung on her belt, near the smaller pouch. Due to the nature of the artifact, it boosts her vitality and increases the damage done to weak spots.— The second one is a standard issue watch (Adventurer's Pocket Watch) that's worn on her left wrist. Unlike the flower, this artifact doesn't give any advantages. It's just there to tell her the time... which tends to be inaccurate half the time.— During special occasions, Amber would wear a brooch that bears a rose gold bunny made of diamonds. It would often be paired up with her more formal attire, 100% Outrider. This was gifted to her by "Arle Snezhevna", who is actually Arlecchino of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers — but hush, Amber shouldn't know that.— She uses Wings of Azure Wind for gliding.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -COMBAT— Like in the manhua, Amber can conjure raw fire with her hands without the help of a catalyst. She can also summon a pyro shield. However, unlike in the manhua, she injures herself in the process. (The first 5 seconds are painless, beyond that, her hand slowly starts to sting. Continuous use for 45+ seconds can cause burns.) Hence, she rarely uses this ability and only does so if she's aided by a potion.— She always carries her grandpa's dead Vision with her since it once saved her life. It has a chance of activating and therefore giving her the ability to manipulate Geo, however she still doesn't know what triggers it to activate. As of writing, the Vision has only been activated once.— She primarily wields a Favonius Warbow, especially on duty. On certain occasions, she wields a Raven Bow which has sentimental value to her. The bow that she uses the least is the Viridescent Hunt, which was gifted to her by Sucrose. It's only used when she's injured to the point that she can't properly defend herself.— Hidden inside one of her pouches is a hunting knife. However, due to how hard it is to quickly reach for it, she rarely brings this out in battle.— Amber is fairly knowledgeable and skilled in the field of swordsmanship. Her grandfather taught her how to wield one before she learned archery. As of writing, Amber has adapted a variation of Garyuu Bladework thanks to Kazuha's mentorship. She currently uses a Favonius Sword.— She also knows how to wield a spear since it's part of basic knight training. However, it's been years since Amber held one, so her fighting style with it is rusty.— On the other hand, she does know basic martial arts. This gives her the ability to defend herself even with the absence of a handheld weapon.— Due to her potion dependency, Amber constantly consumes a wide variety of potions including but are not limited to; pain inhibitors, enhanced strength, quickened regeneration, heightened agility, and night vision. Although intimidating, she does not consume any of these if she isn't actively partaking on a mission. However, she can and will quickly consume any of them if she were to be ambushed.— Amber is unable to shoot two arrows at once, but she does carry two Baron Bunnies with her. This contradicts her constellation abilities in-game.— Due to the loss of her eye, she now has a blind spot on her left side.— In general, Amber is a relatively hardy enemy and doesn't go down as easily as a generic archer/ranger. Therefore, she is fairly difficult to fight against, especially in situations that give her opportunities to hide and ambush her opponents. However, her main weakness lies with close combat. She possesses an edge against hilichurls, humans, and (some) Vision-bearers. Should the opponent be outside of that group, then there's a high possibility that she would be no match against them.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -GENERAL (MAJOR)— Amber is an official member of the Adventurers' Guild. She was first enlisted as a member before she was recognized as an official Outrider. However, Amber doesn't actively take commissions nor expeditions unless it lines up with her Outrider work (e.g, only taking commissions that are located near her patrol route).— She has an unhealthy reliance on potions. Whether it's to boost her physical strength, or to keep her mental and emotional stability in check, the Outrider always turns to alchemy for assistance.— Amber speaks slowly or backtracks on her words often. This is the result of her impaired cognition due to potion dependency.— Due to the events of Shadows Amidst Snowstorms/Flames That Arose From Frost, Amber harbors deep resentment for Fellflower (Subject Three) and Rubedo/Dorian (Subject Two). However she can still mistake either of the two for Albedo unless they bear any striking differences.• The terms of their relationship can still be negotiated in private though; this is just Amber's default opinion on the Fellflower and Rubedo.— Due to the events of Heart's Desire and Flames That Arose From Frost, Amber tends to avoid Dragonspine altogether and often experiences intensive dread whenever she's in the said area. The sight of frostarm lawachurls and cryo whopperflowers also heavily affect her status.— Due to the events of Celestia's Augury, Amber does not want to set foot in Fontaine ever again. She claims that she would be in great danger, and it would be in her best interest to stay away from that nation.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -GENERAL (MISCELLANEOUS)— Her surname, von Mondstadt, is directly from her grandfather. Neither of her parents used this name since they're automatically considered as locals of the city. Although Amber herself is also a local, she adapted the name (presumably) to honor her grandfather.— Her nickname, "Pyre", dates back to her childhood years when she'd often roleplay as magical knights with her friends. "Pyre" was her chosen alias; it was derived from "Fire" or more specifically, "Fyre".— Her headband can sometimes function as bunny ears; it moves to reflect her emotions. She doesn't know how or why it happens, but it's believed that it has something to do with her Vision.— Amber carries a notepad and pen with her in order to take notes of her patrols. This lead to her developing the hobby of sketching different landscapes throughout her adventures, and has developed a skill for it.— After Windblume 2021, Amber learned to play the lyre. She also owns one and would sometimes carry it around during her (personal) expeditions.— She also inherited a fanfare trumpet from her grandfather, which is apparently broken. Amber only uses it whenever it's someone's birthday. (This was originally just a joke, I don't know why I adapted it into canon).— Aside from potions, she possesses one Wind Catcher with five Anemograna, as well as three Warming Bottles. All of these are found in her pouches.— Her favorite flowers are small lamp grass, windwheel asters and dandelions.— The scent of mint has an instant calming effect on her.— Aside from Sticky Honey Roast, she also likes Chicken-Mushroom Skewers. As for beverages, she loves Berry & Mint Burst.— She's intolerant to wolfhooks. And she dislikes their taste and texture too.— Amber has a strong fear of deep bodies of water, especially oceans.— Though associated with bunnies in general, she's specifically associated with brown bunnies.• Funnily enough, she's associated with white bunnies in canon.

[Celestia's Augury]Abiding by Barbeloth's instructions, Amber travels to Fontaine with Mona in order to get rid of the latter's Abyssal corruption. However, their mission was not as simple, and lead them to stay in Fontaine for an extended period of time.This delay caused a significant number of events, namely: Mona getting controlled by her corruption twice, Amber meeting and getting deeply acquainted with an undercover Fatui operative, and an accidental murder that leads to Amber questioning her morality. The operation was soon continued, and they were able to expel the corruption from Mona's body.They're just. even more traumatized for life now.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -Aug - Dec 2023With the help of a wandering friend who's more adept with a sword, Amber adapted a different sword fighting technique that fits her agile and swift nature. [First Flight of the Dragon-Winged Knight]
[Amber's 22nd Birthday]Due to her heroic deeds in the Starfell Lake Incident, Amber was formally recognized as a hero of Mondstadt. She was given a new title, "Dragon-Winged Knight", which is derived from one of the Four Winds. Her promotion was carried out through a public knighting ceremony in Mondstadt's city plaza/in front of the Favonius Cathedral.The cat, Asta, whom she temporarily adopted was also given back to Mona.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -June 6, 2023She fully recovered from her injuries. She was also allowed to resume her potion intake again and, much to everyone's dismay, her dependency on potions was left unaffected. Amber also decided to start relearning the fundamentals of swordfighting, and adapted Favonius Bladework as her fighting style.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -April 14, 2023Amber temporarily adopts Mona's cat. This isn't big info, I know. Just noting down that Amber was once spoiled a noisy and intelligent void kitty.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -April 13, 2023She was released from confinement in the Cathedral once her limbs were back to being functional. However, Amber was more or less physically incapacitated, and was covered in bandages to ensure her steady recovery. Amber was not allowed to move too much thus she was unable to leave the city and was on leave. [The Dragon's Vengeance]Amber was on one of her night patrols, when she discovered that Mona Megistus was heavily corrupted by Abyssal energy. This caused the two to engage in a lethal battle until the astrologer snapped out from the Abyss' control. Both sustained severe injuries and were found at a near-death state by the Knights of Favonius. The area that they fought at, Starfell Lake, was left in ruins and is now unrecognizable.The same incident prompted her to accidentally activate her Geo Vision. This was the main reason why she managed to survive the whole ordeal. However, she overused the Vision which affected her limbs. Said Vision also deactivated again after the incident.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -February 7, 2023After Lantern Rite, Amber decided to finally make peace with her grandfather's death by visiting his last known residence on her way home. She soon found herself in Qingce Village, and met Granny Ruoxin. After a long chat with the community leader, Amber was given a parting gift — an inactive Geo Vision. The same one that was from her grandfather. Although she was reluctant at first, she accepted the gift and now keeps it in her pouches like a token.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -January 19, 2023
[Lantern Rite 2023]In an effort to make up with her bad experience in her first visit to Liyue, Amber decided to take a trip to the nation to witness the year's Lantern Rite. Fortunately, everything went according to plan. Amber thoroughly enjoyed the celebration and made new friends.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -November 2, 2022A friend that was corrupted with Abyssal energy suddenly attacked the Outrider. Fortunately, Amber survived the fight, for her friend regained control of their own body by the end. However, she didn't leave unscathed; she sustained a stab wound on her lower left leg (calf?), alongside general cuts and bruises around her body. She was administered to the Cathedral, and was made to rest for a few days to complete her recovery.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -August 10, 2022
[Amber's 21st Birthday]She celebrated her 21st birthday and... surprisingly, nothing traumatic happened. It's genuinely just a happy birthday for her. Nice!- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -June - July 2022Following the Fellflower attack, Amber's life started to smoothly sail for months. This gave her ample time to recover emotionally, as well as adapt to her limited vision. She was slowly returning to the Outrider that Mondstadt once knew (given that one ignores her growing potion dependency, that is).- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -January 2, 2022Amber returned to her usual doings as an Outrider of Mondstadt. She has since then avoided any tasks that involved going to Dragonspine, and also refused to take missions that involved whopperflower extermination. Her dependency on potions grew worse than ever.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -December 19, 2021Despite spending two weeks in the Cathedral for extensive treatment, it was impossible to bring back Amber's eye. Alchemy was also proven to be futile. So, the Outrider went home with a black eyepatch, and was off-duty for the next two weeks.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -December 4, 2021
[Flames That Arose From Frost]
[Shadows Amidst Snowstorms: Act II]During the trip in Dragonspine, the team faced the Fellflower in battle. One of her friends made a crucial mistake, prompting Amber to rush in and protect them. Although their life was saved, Amber suffered from the attack on their stead, causing her to lose her left eye. However, since she drank a pain-nullifying potion prior for her headache, she managed to stand back and continue the fight. Once it was over, she received first aid at Albedo's campsite/lab and was rushed to Mondstadt's Cathedral for further treatment.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -September 5, 2021
[Winds of the Past; end]The effects of the potion have expired, so Amber reverted back to normal overnight. Thankfully, nothing drastic happened to her while she was in her younger state. Therefore, no negative effects (e.g. hallucinations, clashing memories) were carried over. She did lose all memories of everything that happened during the arc. [Amber's 20th Birthday]She mistakes (yet again) another potion that aids her in her sleep, Amber wakes up as her ten-year old self. Her physique, as well as memories, match the exact age that she was in. Believing that she was trapped in a fake Mondstadt, young Amby was avoidant and wary of everyone. She spent most of her days finding her grandfather — no one had the heart to tell the harsh truth to her.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -May 20, 2021It was proven that Amber never recovered from her disastrous trip and traumatizing encounter. Although her physical wellbeing was decent enough to perform usual duties, she remained mentally and emotionally drained. This gave rise to her potion dependency once more, this is when her control over her dependency began to spiral out of control. [Gleam of Hope; end]Her journey ended earlier than intended, for she met the ghost of her grandfather. This shocking encounter prompted her to leave Liyue and head back to Mondstadt. [Windblume 2021]After a break-up with a romantic partner, Amber sought to mend her heartbreak through the help of a potion. However, instead of forgetting the person of affection, the potion made her forget virtually every memory she had. [post-Unreconciled Stars]The Knights of Favonius and the Adventurers' Guild agreed to collaborate for a series of investigations. These investigations were performed to ensure that everything was back to normal after the events of Unreconciled Stars. Amber was teamed up with an investigator who had a heavy reliance on potions. Her partner eventually convinced her to try using them. Ever since that day, Amber started to develop a growing dependency on potions.Additionally, her exposure to the meteorite shards caused her constellation to behave erratically. It was observed that the stars of Lepus would constantly change in position and distance in short intervals, which in turn, severely disrupts her fate. As of February 2021, Lepus was recognized as a "rogue constellation" by Teyvat's astrologers.- — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — -December 19, 2020Amber was in great shape. Her physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing were all stable and in good condition. Outgoing, cheerful, and determined as always. She merely carried on with her normal life.
